AnalogShootingDay Vol.2
Analog Shooting Day is a project I organize together with photographer Steffen Lauterbach and my colleague Lars Heinitz. The idea is simple: celebrate analog photography, bring creative people together, and spend a day making images in a relaxed and open environment.
We keep the concept intentionally loose. There is no fixed theme and no strict schedule. Usually four or five photographers meet with five or six models at carefully chosen locations and spend the entire day shooting together. Working without a predefined concept leaves room for spontaneity, real interactions and unexpected photographic moments. Often the best images appear when there is no pressure to produce them.
For Vol. 2, we returned to the Orangerie in Thun, a place that already proved to be a perfect setting for this kind of gathering. During the day we also worked inside the Thunerhof and the Kunstmuseum Thun, moving between different spaces and light situations. Each location brought its own atmosphere and influenced the images in different ways.
The models receive all photographs afterwards for their portfolios, sedcards or agencies. But beyond the pictures, the shared experience is just as important. When everyone feels comfortable, that energy naturally shows in the images. Creating a respectful, inspiring atmosphere on set is therefore just as important to me as organizing the locations or the shooting itself.
Analog Shooting Day is more than just a photo session. It is about slowing down, working with film, exchanging ideas and creating something together.
