Together with Steffen Lauterbach, I organized an Analog Shooting Day in Thun – an idea that had been in our minds for a long time and finally became reality.
We chose the Orangerie in the Schadau Gardens and Schloss Schadau as our locations. A unique place combining calm, natural light and history – a perfect setting for analog photography.
We intentionally invited a diverse group of models and photographers and avoided a strict schedule. The focus was on flow instead of control, on trust, exchange and good energy. Shooting was intuitive, open and respectful. That atmosphere shaped the entire day – and you can feel it in the images.
I personally photographed mainly with my Leica M6 Titan. Shooting analog means being fully present: every frame matters, every decision is deliberate. This slower, more mindful way of working creates a special depth – both in the process and in the final photographs.
The results exceeded our expectations. More importantly, the day showed how powerful it is to create spaces for shared, pressure-free creative work – without performance stress, without rush.
